The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an international forum for governments and central bank governors from 19 countries and the European Union. The G20 was established in response to the financial crises of the late 1990s as a platform for high-level discussions on economic policies and cooperation.

G20 Summit Date and Venue 2023

The G20 Summit is decided to be held in New Delhi, India at Pragati Maidan. The summit will be the culmination of all of the G20 meetings and gatherings of ministers, top government officials, and representatives of civil society organizations that took place during the year. The 18th gathering of the G20 Leaders of State and Government will take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, 2023, in the Pragati Maidan. The G20 is now held in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan. 


G20 summit 2023 some most important information that you should know if you live in Delhi or Planning to visit Delhi:

1. Delhi Traffic Police declares that some areas are blocked due to the G20 summit 2023          and no one will be able to go there, it is similar to a lockdown in some areas only.
2. Schools and colleges will be closed for 3 days due to this G20 summit 2023.
3. It will not affect the rest public because the government of India declared these 3 days a        public holiday.
4. Essential services will not be affected, entry of heavy vehicles is not permitted except for     those who are carrying essential goods and ambulance service will be open in every            place. 
5. All types of goods vehicles, commercial vehicles, interstate buses, local city buses, DTC      and DIMTS buses will not be allowed to ply on Mathura Road (beyond Ashram Chowk),      Bhairon Road, Purana Quila Road and inside Pragati
    Maidan Tunnel during the event.
6. Taxi and auto not allowed to ply in the New Delhi district, Exception: Those booked by        hotel guests or residents
